Design Features
The redesign of this 500-square-foot office space into a modern and functional studio apartment was a project focused on maximizing ROI for the investor. We approached the challange with innovative solutions, including custom-built storage solutions and a carefully planned layout that maximizes the space and adds value to the apartment. A highlight of the design is the frosted glass wall that divides the bedroom and living areas, providing privacy while allowing natural light to flow throughout the space. The use of neutral colors and natural materials further enhances the apartments open feel, creating a living space that combines form and function.
The materials chosen were carefully selected to ensure durability and ease of maintenance for the rental unit. Concrete tiles are used throughout the space to provide a sleek and durable flooring option that can withstand high occupancy wear and tear. Wood accents are incorporated to add warmth and texture to the space. These carefully chosen materials not only help to enhance the functionality of the rental unit but also ensure it’s longevity and appeal to future tenants.
A thoughtful lighting design is an important factor considering there is only one window providing natural light. Recessed lighting is distributed equally throughout the space as well as some accent lighting over the counter and under the built-in living room storage.
